Wendy Mullane loves a challenge. Her love for old treasures, years of jewelry design and fine metal-working skills taught her to explore design in new ways. Her ingenuity, drive and endless creativity have led her to be the most influential pioneer of the “Freeform Metal Artistry” design movement. Jeanne Holland has loved designing jewelry as long as she can remember. Influenced by a love for the fine arts, from classical ballet to stained glass mosaic, she creates unique, classic treasures and shares inspiration through her art. These inspirational qualities are what led Jeanne to spark the “Freeform Metal Artistry” design movement.
       
Jess Italia loves the challenge in beading and creating something unique! She draws her inspiration from being surrounded by ART and the natural beauty of the outdoors! Her expertise and formal education in marketing and design has opened many doors for Vintaj. Her design influence is far reaching. Megan Sharkey has a unique design sense in which she incorporates into new jewelry lines, project ideas and jewelry kits for Vintaj. Her designs are inspired by nature and the ever-changing colors of the seasons. She reflects the natural qualities of the Earth in her work through the use of Vintaj, gemstones, pearls, crystals, glass and many more eye catching treasures!
       
Mackenzie Mullane is a young artist who loves to doodle, draw, and design. She plans on being an artisan for her whole life, and finds being surrounded so many designers inspiring. Trish Italia has been interested in some form of art her whole life. She is a co-owner of Galena Beads “serving creativity” in Galena, Illinois and is a proud retailer of Vintaj Natural Brass jewelry findings.
       
Cathie Roberts is an ‘Artistic Pioneer Woman” who has a love and respect for nature. Cathie's specialties are Art Clay and Lampwork Glass. She is the creator of Vintaj Glass by Cathie Roberts and many of the lamp work beads used in Vintaj gallery projects and jewelry kits. Jan Ketza Harris is a co-owner of Galena Beads “serving creativity” in Galena, Illinois. Art has been her passion all throughout her life; she loves to paint en plein air in Taos, New Mexico and Galena, Illinois.
       
Sara Wybourn lives in Warren, Illinois with her family who are all works of art. She is a bead instructor at Galena Beads “serving creativity” and specializes in opening the doors of creativity in children’s workshops. Karen Johnston creates jewelry in the Wood River Valley of Idaho where she is inspired by nature and vivid images from international travels. She holds a BA in jewelry design from Western Washington University.
       
Lisa Kan is a lampwork bead artist and jewelry designer based in San Marino, California. She regularly sells her beads at all of the major bead shows and through her website, www.lisakan.com. Her jewelry designs have been published in Beadwork, Stringing, Bead Unique, and Bead Style magazines, and her lampwork has been featured in 1000 Glass Beads, More than You Ever Wanted to Know About Glass Beadmaking, and The Complete Book of Glass Beadmaking. She has also been a featured designer and written articles for www.softflexcompany.com. Melanie Brooks-Lukacs, a maker of porcelain beads and jewelry components with her business Eathenwood Studio (www.earthenwoodstudio.com), has been designing jewelry for over 10 years. Endlessly inspired by the porcelain clay, and themes of fantasy and nature, she is constantly adding new products to her line, as well as inspiring others with ideas and techniques for using her unique creations. Melanie also loves designing jewelry projects and writing articles for magazines, including Stringing, Step by Step and Simply Beads. She writes daily on her Earthenwood Studio Chronicles blog and also contributes to Art Bead Scene, a daily blog celebrating art beads.
     
Gretchen Du Plessis found great joy in designing jewelry. Being surrounded by an artistic, creative family increased her desire to experiment in many art mediums. We will truly miss her.
