AC003 - Butterfly Coin Purse - Designer: Jeanne Holland
1. Cut a piece of Claudine Hellmuth Studio Sticky-Back Canvas and a piece of your favorite decorative scrapbook paper to the same size.
2. Remove the backing from the canvas.
3. Take the piece of scrapbook paper and press the printed side to the sticky side of the Sticky-Back Canvas.
4. Burnish using a Craft Scrapper.
5. Spray the back with water using a Mini Mister. Completely saturate the paper.
6. Rub off the back of the paper gently, revealing the image below. You might have to rub a little bit to get rid of all the paper.
7.Once you have removed all the paper, take a little Gloss Multi-Medium on your finger and massage it in as if you were rubbing in sunscreen. This will get rid of any remaining fuzzies.
8. Paint and ink an arte metal Marcasite Butterfly Decorivet using Adirondack acrylic paint dabbers and Tim Holtz alcohol inks.
9. Once dry, insert the rivet points through the canvas, on the rounded section of the form. Bend over the points using chain nose pliers to secure.
10. Sew the canvas form to a piece of coordinating fabric to line the inside. Next, fold the bottom section over the middle section and sew along the edge to create your pouch. Be sure to leave the top section open with the butterfly separate in order to be used as a flip top.
