| Filigrees: F270. This filigree is basically folded in half to create this setting. It should be turned in half using the needle nose pliers to hold the center joint to leave space in between the sides for the stone. The two sides of the filigrees will hold the stone in place once you secure the edges by crimping around the stone. Fold one of the filigree ends over the top of the other to hold everything together. This is more of an advanced technique. You'll need to do some experimenting, but you'll get the hang of it in no time. Be creative with your center stone. A large flat bead will work too! |
