SO cool – can paper embossing plates also be used on brass??? or are these harder?

Linda ~ unfortunately the new Vintaj metal press folders won’t be available until sometime around June. However, you can use Sizzix Embosslit folders that are already in their line.
Patty ~ Yes, the Texture Impression folders and Tim Holtz Texture Fades also work (as seen in the tutorial). The plastic texture folders will wear down much faster but you can get 50 or more runs with them, I would recommend that if you use them on metal that you have a separate set for papers. They work best on the basic shapes, such as; the Circle, Square, Rectangle and some of the larger shapes like the Treasured Maple. The embossed pattern will appear softer than the new metal folders which give a deeper and more defined impression, but they are just as beautiful which you can see above from the Sugar Texture Impression folder. Hope this helps! We will announce the release of the new folders early summer… but will feature many project ideas and sneak peeks along the way

Please let me know when the metal plates come out. I love all the vintaj products and have made a few things with them. What gauge copper will the plates do?
Will the new embossing folders work with other machines beside the Sissix machines (like a Cuddlebug)?

Tessa, you can use our pre-cut altered blanks, charms & embellishments for scrapbooking. However you can not cut our metal with the Sizzix machine or dies. The dies are only meant to create designs on our altered blanks, you can emboss or etch as seen in this technique video. Cutting will ruin your machine and dies. Hope this helps!
