Bead Trends August 2011: Beach Inspired Goodness

I’m excited to review the beach inspired August issue of Bead Trends! Especially after just returning from a trip along the beautiful beaches in Southern California. On the cover you will notice a Vintaj Star Fish charm in the Ocean Treasures necklace designed by Marie-Noel Voyer-Cramp. As you turn the pages you will continue to see beachy colors and elements. I would also like to congratulate our friend Amanda Austin for her stunning Designer Highlight feature on pages 47 – 55. Each and everyone of her featured pieces showcasing Vintaj, thanks Amanda You ROCK! My absolutely favorite piece in this issue has to be her SWELL necklace on page 50, it is to die for! Amanda painted one of our Arte Metal Rhapsody Romance pendants the most beautiful teal color. The combination of summery greens and blues with layers of natural brass and copper are gorgeous! Oh and how about Cindy Cima Edwards Sparkling Collage cuff bracelet with some of our fastenables and a Desert Butterfly Decorviet, securing pieces in place. As you can see I can go on forever about all these amazing pieces, but I think I’ll let you take a peek for yourself. . .

  1. Lovely! I do like SWELL the best. That is a stunning design! And Cindy’s cuff. Lush!
    Thanks for sharing these inspirations.
    Enjoy the day!

  2. **blushing** Thank you Erin and Jess! :) I have so much fun with my Vintaj stash, there was no question in my mind what to use for my designer highlight pieces :) SWELL is such a fun necklace, it’s one of my personal faves also. The August issue is filled with amazing and inspiring designs, and the fact that it’s a ‘beach inspired’ issue is PERFECT for a Vintaj loving beach bum such as myself ;)

I agree, it is so much fun to see what everyone designs for Bead Trends and to see what Amanda sent in for her feature was worth the wait. It’s hard to choose one design. She really grew wings for this issue. Pretty exciting for Marie to be on the front cover. That is an amazing feeling I am sure. Each designer adds so many new ideas. It’s like Christmas each month.

  8. WOW!!! These are all amazing! I just submitted my first photos to bead trend for the Feb issue, hopefully I’ll get something in there next year sometime, but after looking at these amazing designs, its hard to imagine being in that company! You guys are all so inspiring to me. <3 Congrats to all of you ladies!
