Day at the Beach by Jess
Create a vacation memory necklace from your time at the beach. I love the mini glass jar pendants from Rings & Things! Here I added some sand from our trip to North Carolina a few years ago. Our NEW Umbrella altered blank has been embossed with our Fern Fronds DecoEmboss Die, this signifies relaxing in the shade under a large beach umbrella. A bottle cap bead representing a cold drink on a hot day completes this fun summer road trip design. Pendants suspend from light weight hemp and our NEW 2mm Flat Link Chain.

At the Lake
I made a fun letter stamped bracelet with our Rectangle Bezel and natural materials such as rosewood, carved horn, and bone beads from Ring & Things. After imprinting the words, “At the Lake” on the bezel I applied clay patina over the entire surface. Once patina was completely dry, I mixed 2 parts verdigris patina to 1 part onyx patina to create a blue gray color. To create a transparent wash over the clay patina base, I then mix the blue gray color mixture with 3 parts glaze. Simply brush the glaze mixture over the surface of the bezel and wipe any excess color with a paper towel to show off your quote and leaving small puddles of color in the corners. To accent the stamped bezel and to complete the bracelet design, large hole rosewood beads are simply strung onto a Greek leather cord and knottehttp://vintaj.com/wpblog/wp-admin/post-new.phpd to jump rings. Our NEW 15mm Classic Lobster Clasp is attached to one end of the bracelet strand and easily hooks right into the large loop of the bezel. For added detail, wire wrap beads and hang from loop.
