As you can see, I also figured out how to work still while comforting her. I sat in a comfy office chair with arms and set the Bobby on my lap. It rests very snug between my body and the edge of the table. Livi slept peacefully on it while mommy carefully worked. I’m sure all you mommy’s out there have had to get a little creative when it comes to caring for your little ones and working from home. Any tips for this new mom?
During my successful afternoon of designing, I made 3 necklaces, 2 bracelets and a pair of earrings (in between baby care and snuggling), that will be featured on the Michael’s website over the next couple of months. Happy Designing!
P.S. Today Olivia Rose is already 5 weeks old, how did that happen SO fast!

Jess, she is so beautiful!!! I hope that you are doing well & healing from the big job of bringing her into the world. So glad that your mom is close by & able to help. I know she is loving it! Take good care & enjoy every minute with your new little one!
Hugs,
Colleen
She is soooo adorable!
The perfect sweetness! <3
So, tips for a new mom…
well, from a mom of 4 I can say my Baby Bjorn was a lifesaver! I got everything done with baby in tow! lol
When they get a little older I fell in love with the Jumperoo! It kept them occupied just long enough to either get a few chores done or create something new! For me at the time it was scrapbooking, but if I had one now, it would be the same!
Good luck and many blessings my friend!
Okay, she is just too cute. Wow.
So very precious! I don’t where you had the energy to make jewelry with a newborn. Bravo!
Oh, my! Miss Livi you are the most beautiful baby! Kudos to you for finding ways to stay creative with a little one. I can tell you that it will get harder the more mobile she is so stock up on these creative sessions and make as much as possible. The other thing is to let it go. There is no way, NO WAY that you can be as prolific of a designer as you were before she made her debut. That is okay. These years will fly by in the blink of an eye. SO don’t feel disappointed to let go of your goals from P.O. (pre-Olivia) and know that you will come back to it again. And by then, Miss Livi will be there to help you with it!
Enjoy the day.
Erin
Congratulations on your wee one. She looks so very very sweet. I am sad that those days have flown by. From a business owner to business owner, from an artist to artist, from a woman to a woman and from one mother to another mother, the best advise I can give you is to sleep. Sleep as much as you are able. I know it will be challenging, especially when you are so use to going at such speed, but your biggest priority is going to be for you to take care of yourself so that you can be your best for Livi, your family, your business and your customers. I have done so many trade shows and business trips with my little ones (now 9 and 5). I truly know the life that you are living and I wish you the best. It is all so very worth it. Becky
Thank you ladies for all your kind words and advice, I truly appreciate it! hugs, Jess
