  1. Rose says:

I know I can’t win but this little Haiku came to mind I just had to post! Can’t wait to hear everyone’s poems!

    “too many chic beads
did I really buy all these?
    someone call Hoarders”

  2. Amberrose Hammond says:

(Inspired by the beads in the picture)
There was an old trunk in the
    attic.
Filled with enough beads, buttons & trinkets for only one
    jewelry addict.
    The metal raven trapped inside,
    cawed and cawed
for a person on the outside.
    An old black key,
lay beside the locked, dusty trunk.
All of these beads have been waiting here
    just for me.

  3. Lisa DeBoest says:

    Here’s my offering!

This radiant raven is not like Poe’s
The one in his poem would curl your toes!
The beads in this group are sure to please
And be made into jewlry with relative ease!

  4. Oh my dear beads you are a disgrace
I’d love some new ones to take your place

To win Vintaj Copper, Arte Metal, and Green Girl
I’d take some of you old ones over and give you a hurl

These new items would soon find their place
Next to the keepers in my hoarding case

  5. Mary Flesch says:

    Metal, crystal, glass and more
How many more beads can I store?
Beading treasures for no one but me
Push harder, you can close that drawer!

(I am looking for more shelves this week to assist with bead storage!)

  6. Sarah S says:

beads that we love can never be used
for necklaces, or rings, or bracelets, or shoes

a muse to inspire the things we create
never to be used, but only to wait

  7. Mary Ellen Biamonte says:

Birds and leaves, ravens and keys
    and even some little filigrees.
I could do so many things with these
if only you would pick me please!

  8. Colleen Maher says:

There once was a bead from Galena,
It had such a lovely patina,
    Wrapped with some wire
It took our inspiration much higher
When paired with an owl from Cynthia!

  9. Sally Hershberger says:

Oh I would love to be a winner, you see
    Of beautiful beads to make jewelry actually;
My mind would be creative, my hands would be skilled,
If only the prize of Vintaj would be willed.
To be granted such an honor to me it would seem,
I’ll wait with anticipation but for now I’ll only dream.

  10. Susan Waddell says:

Your shine and shimmer are alluring
    Your shape and texture enduring
    Rondelle, rhinestone, raven and pearl
Vintaj and Green Girl, the possibilities unfurl
Into my studio I endeavor to create
A necklace, a bracelet, something takes shape
My hands move swiftly, my soul it does feed
The raven succumbs, pays homage to the bead

  11. here is my poem….it is not my language, and I hope it makes sense! :-)

If only I could store thousand of beads,
    pearls, buttons, drops and filigrees,
I would do a jewel worthy of a queen
the brightest and richest you’ve ever seen.
Hardstones and charms, crystals in rows
would certainly enrich the simplest clothes.
But If I had few beads and one simple thread
I’d make a tiny bracelet for my best friend!

  12. Tami Rinehart says:

It use to be Paper, scissors and glue.
Add a little glitter and some bling too.

    that made my juices flow..
    but now don’t ya know…

Beads and charms and metal blanks
have quickly taken over the planks.

    Hoarding here and hoarding there
    Seed beads, seed beads everywhere!!!

  13. Melanie S. says:

    Once upon a Midnight cleary,
as I designed my eyes grew weary.
While I slumbered my dreams turned wild,
I stared in wonderment like a child.
I found myself in a magic bead store,
    Trapped inside with beads galore.
I stuffed my pockets, filled boxes and bags,
I scooped it all up disregarding their tags.
The bead demon possessed me, I was misbehavin,
When in a dark corner of the room I noticed a Radiant Raven.
He gave a loud caw! As loud as a roar,
Quoth the raven, “Give her more.”
Jewels and beads they rained from the sky,
I was drowning in treasures, my oh my.
I awoke startled and cursed my fate
Twas only a dream as I had been beading to late !!!
I hope you enjoyed this strange little tale, I trust it wasn’t a bore.
“That’s the end” quoth the Raven,”there is no more.”

  14. DESPINA says:

    Bending the wire,
    torching with fire,
    crafting like busy bee,
    that’s life for me!

    Crazy about glass
    -adds a touch of class!
    But pieces by Vintaj
    are my avantage!

Wanna make pieces fit for a queen
so make me ecstatic and please let me win!

P.S.: Please don’t be too strict, English is not my mother language
    :-)

  15. Joanna-Gloria says:

    Autumn trees and fallen leaves
Make me dream of pretty beads
Make me dream of Vintaj pieces
    Inspiration never ceases!!

  16. Tara Leitermann says:

    Wire, leather, radiant brass;
    Lucite, copper, bone.
    Shell, ceramic, lustrous glass;
    Pewter, linen, stone.
I hold you in my heart as I journey through my day,
Awaiting stolen moments to sit with you and play.

  17. Renee M. says:

Well, the first thing that popped in my noggin when I saw this fun contest was Poe’s “Raven” poem, so here goes :)

One autumn night I read quite clearly, the Vintaj blog, wearing my readers so cheery

I pondered the many riveting projects and contests, all hunched over, with my back so sore

My sleep-deprived mind was racing, so many creative ideas it was chasing

When I heard footsteps shuffling closer and closer to the study’s door

“I’ll be done in a minute,” I said to dear hubby who stood outside the study’s door

Quoth my hubby, “BUY NO MORE!”

  18. So many shiny pretties, that always catch my eye
How can I not be drawn to them?
It’s very hard to reign things in and simply not to buy
How they sparkle, how they shine
They are so pretty and so fine
Time to make a master piece with all these pretties things
Not until I use some of what I have can I go buy anymore bling!

  19. Alicia Coats says:

Love this giveaway! Here’s my submission:

Green Girl pewter & Vintaj brass,
    Ceramic beads & lampwork glass,
    Chain, wire, leather & cord,
My addiction, my precious, my weakness, my hoard!

  20. I started beading without knowing
that it would require ideas that are overflowing
    Beads may vary
    that sometimes can be scary
Pearls. shells, glass beads semi- precious stones
comes in different sizes even in cones
It takes a lot of time to think for a masterpiece
But with creativity you can link piece by piece

I started beading and now I am learning
that beads can be tiring and enjoying
    Now I am buying everything
Knowing now that it can be addicting
Beading.. beading… just realized it could be for a living.

  21. maktubijoux says:

What did this kind raven brought me?
    Silver, findings, charms and filigree
all clutched in his yellow beak
Cascades of happiness, beads do this indeed!
a sense of dizziness, a childlish roller-coaster feel
“And now my heart with pleasures fills and dances with the Vintaj beads…”(quote)

Be merciful, english is not my mother tongue:)

  22. Jay & Robin Fogle says:

Here’s my effort to your poem challenge. It would make my day to win those findings for my wife! The Knotty Beaders – Amelia Island, FL

    “It’s Contagious”

    I once had a 3 bedroom home.
That was until I married my beading gnome.

    Her little hobby has exploded
And I used to be loaded!

    But her disease was infectious
    Now I’m soldering the connections!

    All silver, copper & brass
And I thought this was something that would pass.

Her eyes sparkle and she smiles with glee
When I tell her there’s another bead show this Sunday.

In every nook & cranny there’s all these little boxes
This bead business is worse than the poxes!

We’re wrapping & hanging every stone we find
And with gems there’s always another kind!

Now I have my own BigKick
And my brother is thinking I’m sick!

He thinks I’m now a loss
For every piece of metal I find I must emboss!

But the findings & pendants we make
Are winding up as cash in the bank.

Because now the people we know
    Are attending our jewelry show!

  23. shelley in big sky says:

    twinkle twinkle little gem
how i wonder where you’ve been
the stash is so under found
no wonder you’ve never been bound…

  24. Marguerite Hall says:

Bits and baubles, tatters of treasures lay in wait to be reborn.
Ideas of what could be swirl to fevered pitch…
A necklace, A bracelet, earrings or complete set.
Which Vintaj pieces to use leaves me torn.
    A crafter’s delima, awaiting a dream.
There are no losers with products supreme
