We want to send a big CONGRATS to Kim Girouard designer/owner behind Kiki Bird Jewelry™!
Kim has announced that her “Bright Lights” statement necklace will be displayed and in celebrity swag bags backstage at the official talent gift lounge for the 46th Annual CMA Awards in honor of The 46th Annual CMA Awards on October 29 – November 1, 2012 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Kim recently attended our September workshop, we had the pleasure of meeting her and seeing her talent first hand. She said she’ll be back next fall, we look forward to spending a creative weekend with her again!

Pictured above is her “Bright Lights” statement necklace featuring Vintaj natural brass 23mm Open Gears, 16mm Open Gears, 15mm Jump Rings, as well as chain and head pins. Our natural brass findings are accented with beautiful crystal, we love her gorgeous design and I’m sure it will be a hit at the CMA’s!

A note from Kim for our readers ~

“For those of you that are fans of country music, enjoy fashion or would like to hear more about the creative ways small business entrepreneurs are finding to get exposure for their businesses would probably enjoy reading [hearing] my story. I’m a former police officer and retired elementary school teacher who has been designing jewelry since 2005. In addition to participating in The CMA Awards, I’ve created pieces for inclusion in collaborative gift bags for Jordin Sparks, Mariska Hargitay and Vanessa Lachey. I’ve sent two of my mixed media necklaces, “Liar, Liar” and “Rustic Moon,” to the stylists for the popular television shows, Pretty Little Liars and The Vampire Diaries, and I am waiting to find out if they will be worn on upcoming episodes. I’ve been acknowledged for my Vintaj Natural Brass (of Galena, IL) jewelry designs and have my work at several local and regional galleries, including Artificium Gallery in Rockford, Illinois, Northern Memories Fine Arts & Gifts in St Germain, WI as well as Z Place Gallery & Framing in Ironwood, MI. I have done numerous art shows and fairs in the midwest and throughout the Northwoods of Wisconsin for several years. I spend a portion of my summers based in the Three Lakes, WI. area and have large family and friends ties to the Chicago metro and northwestern suburban areas.”

“I would be happy to talk with you about my experiences with celebrity gifting and how this type of initiative can help artists gain exposure for their work, and am open to providing a tour of my [admittedly small] home studio by appointment, as well as phone or in person interviews. Please contact me by email at kikibirdjewelry@gmail.com or phone at 815-218-9788. Click here to read her October 23 press release regarding The 46th Annual CMA Awards gifting.”
