Teena has done it again! Congratulations Ms. Germano from Melbourne Australia! Our bloggers voted her necklace the winner of our Autumn Nights design challenge! She will receive her choice of 2 FREE sampler packs! Check out Teena’s winning Orchard Pallette design from September. We also want to give a shout out to second place winner Cindy Edwards. Her Dark Moon design will be featured in the End of the Year Challenge come December along with the rest of the 2009 winners.
“I would like to thank all those who entered for providing such hard core competition and all of those who voted, without them of I course I wouldn’t be in this position. Entering these challenges has lead to other wonderful adventures in the world of Jewellery design, I could never have dreamed about 4 years ago when I started teaching myself jewellery design as a hobby, I am now up to my 3rd Magazine article thanks to Judith from Beads online and am also designing Jewellery kits for Judith as well. It was this very piece that kick started the opportunity to do the Magazine work. It was a labour of love to hand stitch the rope and then hang on to it for over a year before deciding what to do with it. It recently sold to a woman at the market( Kallista market in the Dandenong ranges) where I sell my designs , who was delighted to hear it was in a competition and to know the story behind it. Vintaj Brass is an exciting designing adventure I embark upon every day.” – Regards, Teena Germano
“I have always been attracted to jewelry, and have had a compelling fascination with the more exotic flavors from the east. Some Middle and Far Eastern influences I find particularly exciting and inspiring. The ongoing development of a style to reflect my tastes includes influences from Eastern, European, New Age, and Vintage Americana as well.
After collecting and selling jewelry over the years, a little over two years ago I decided to devote some time and energy to creating my own pieces. Finding the Vintaj line of products gave me a tremendous boost of inspiration and many new ideas.
I live in North Central Arkansas, have one grown daughter and three beautiful grandchildren. My husband has somehow found the time (between napping and watching TV) to create and manage an online retail presence for me at zimaj.com (due to open this week) as well as running our main scrapbook and craft supplies retail site memoryvilla.com” – Cindy Edwards

Thanks Erin, the real enjoyment about this piece for me was the time it took to stitch the rope, The lampwork bead on the end was just the simple elegant touch it needed. xx
