Bead Trends Jan ’10

Bead Trends starting the year off great with a fabulous January issue. There are a lot of great designers in this issue using Vintaj!

First up is Marie-Noel Voyer-Cramp and her “Flights of Fancy” earrings design on page 22. This great design dangles a small filigree butterfly from precious garnet lampwork beads. Topped off with a filigree bead cap, and natural brass earwires, Marie-Noel has created a simple but perfect pair of earrings. Reminding us that if you use great components your design will be great.
Next on page 30, is another Marie-Noel original. Her “Nature’s Whimsy” bracelet design consists of sweet secondary colored beads, and a pair of our dragonfly charms. Earthy, simple, and again a great design.

Moving on to page 94, a beautiful “Morning Sky” by Dee Gallimore-Perry. Dee uses our chain artfully layered with amethyst glass beads, and a cute cluster of findings and crystal. She finishes her design with a nouveau swirls toggle and a perfectly-placed-purple bicone. (say that ten tomes fast!)
Next on page 116, is another Dee Gallimore-Perry design. Her “Chocolate Covered Cherries” use filigree bead caps and Vintaj bronze wire. These little babies are so cute I could eat ‘em!

Now on page 101, a super cute “Peace” necklace by Kristy Abner.  Turquoise and Vintaj have an understanding. Although both are stunning, neither one demands to much attention in a design but instead boast the good qualities in each other. Kristy must of known that using the two complimentary materials together would make for a peaceful design. (Vintaj hearts Turquoise)

Last on page 124 Debra Wisinski and her “Sea Glass Bottle”. This art project uses a collection of brass ocean charms and colored glass. Reminiscent of this project, we are glad to be in good company with Debra’s charming project.

*Shout out to our friend Erin Prais-Hintz for being featured on page 70, with her lovely “Going Places” designs. Using a collection of antique tokens, her necklace was inspired by a summer trip to Galena this past summer! Read Erin’s blog for daily inspiration…

Thanks for the shouts girls! That trip was the highlight of my summer…there is nothing finer than a summer stroll down the streets of Galena, other than visiting Galena Beads and Vintaj Earth!
    Make it a great one!
    Enjoy the day!

Got my issue recently but haven’t had time to look through it yet. Sounds like it is a good one.
