Vintaj Altered Metal: Exploration of Texturing and Shaping

Learn how to blend and layer Vintaj Patinas and Glaze to create beautiful and durable patina effects. Dab, relief, punch holes and rivet your patina’d pieces into functional jewelry components to create this matching necklace, earring and ring set in a 3-hour class.
Jess will teach you how to patina & dap Vintaj embossed natural brass metal blanks, filigree and decorative embellishments to add dimension, texture and a rustic feel to your jewelry designs.

Learn how to achieve a variety of beautiful effects on metal with layers of Vintaj Metallic Patinas and Filigree. Without the use of chemicals or heat you will create Raku, Lalique and Eroded Effects on metal blanks and embellishments to make this stunning necklace, bracelet and earring set in a 3-hour class.
Mackie will teach you how to patina, stamp, layer & filigree wrap Vintaj embossed arte metal blanks and decorative embellishments, with a mix of natural brass to add dimension, texture and a beautiful mixed metal look to your jewelry designs.

Vintaj Educator, Jess Italia Lincoln – Inspired by and interested in all forms of art, Jess has dabbled in it all. Her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree guided her to follow a creative path in both advertising & design. As the Director of Education for Vintaj she teaches and shares many tips and techniques through online videos, the Vintaj Jewelry Technique books and creative workshops. Vintaj Educator, Mackie Mullane – Inspired by the beauty of the people and cultures of the world Mackie Mullane shows her love of the earth through her eclectic and bohemian design sense. Her passion for art and jewelry design was ingrained in her at an early age. Growing up playing and creating in her mother’s design studio with the constant influence of art and inspiration has shaped her into the person she is today. Her education in the arts of fashion, textiles, photography, design, pottery, painting and illustration forms her creative foundation. Mackie brings balance and proportion to her designs, a knowledge of color and a unique understanding of how jewelry complements personal style. Mackie loves sharing her natural gift through education. She is a designer and educator for Vintaj, teaching several workshops each year and contributing to the Vintaj blog, sharing designer tips and video tutorials. Mackie is also the Lead Designer for Vintaj Earth Jewelry Boutique and a featured designer and demonstrator for Sizzix and Ranger. Mackie enjoys spending her time studying trends in fashion and photography, creating boards on Pinterest, exploring nature and, of course, designing jewelry. She plans to immerse herself in travel and continue to learn about art and culture.
