STEP by STEPS
Step 1: Wrap cabochons.
A: Use chain nose pliers to flatten two ornate bead caps. Place ivory mum cabochon in center of flattened bead cap. Use pliers to bend up two filigree petals of the bead cap opposite each other, leaving the remaining two flattened at the top and one at the bottom.
B: Place the oval cabochon in the center of the delicate crest filigree. Line the bottom of the cabochon just above the second pointed openwork section. The top should line up slightly below the top openwork curved section of the filigree. Use pliers to bend in the sides of the filigree. Use chain nose pliers to crimp and secure.
Step 2: Embellish Maiden Tresses.
A. String the following components onto a 2 inch pearl head pin; 4mm crystal, daisy bead cap, Lucite marigold flower. String the end of the head pin through the bottom right corner of the maiden tresses. Firmly hold pieces together and bend the wire up over the edge of the maiden tresses. Continue by tightly wrapping the wire around the base of the Lucite flower. Repeat by adding a second beaded flower in the top left corner of the maiden tresses.
Step 3: Wire wrap briolette.
A. Cut a 5” piece of 24g bronze wire. Center the briolette on the wire. Thread the wire through the bead’s hole, leaving approximately an inch on one side. Pinch both wires at the top of the briolette to form a triangle shape, making sure the stone is centered. Take the short end of the wire and wrap it around the longer wire 2-3 times. Cut any excess wire sticking out. Using your round nose pliers, create a loop and start wrapping the wire below the loop and around the bead. To create a messy wrapped look, wrap the wire back up the bead loosely. Cut the wire flush and tuck it under the last wrap or press it against the stone.
Step 4: Connect components.
A. Use 4.75mm jump rings to connect briolette to the large cabochon. Connect the top of the cabochon to the embellished Maiden Tresses. Connect the small cabochons to each side of the Maiden Tresses. Attach two jump ring to the side of the cabochon with two flattened petals. String ornate chain through both jump rings and connect 6mm crystal bead links every few inches. Repeat on opposite side. Attach the waterlily to one end of the chain strand.
B. String the following components onto a 1 inch head pin; 4mm crystal, daisy bead cap, Lucite marigold flower. String the end of the head pin through the nouveau swirls toggle bar. Firmly hold pieces together and create a wrapped loop to secure. Attach chain to the loop and string through waterlily to open and close your necklace.
Your necklace is complete, Enjoy!
