I hammered a Perching Owl charm flat and reliefed the surface with an ultra fine sanding block to highlight the detailed areas. This owl is a hollow-back charm easy for hammering into a flat piece for gluing, riveting and much more. Here I simply hung it from a jump ring in front of an embossed 34mm Circle Altered Blank. (Check out the Starry Night earring tutorial for steps on embossing the same Sizzix Stars & Swirls Texture Impression Embossing Folder was used to create this pattern). I drilled a hole at the bottom of the altered blank and clustered a variety of charms & beads, including our new arte metal Delicate Leaf charms, an Etched Star charm and gunmetal jump rings from Rings & Things. A variety of blue & clear Czech glass and brass charms turned into creative connectors complete the necklace strands.
