STEP by STEPS
Step 1: Create layered flower focals.
A: Layer three 8 petal cut-outs, weaving and overlapping some of their petals. Use a sharpie to mark hole placement on two petal cut-outs for riveting. Use the silver handle of the metal screw down hole punch (or a 1.25mm hole punch pliers) to individually punch through both layers of the petals. Repeat on additional petal.
B: Use round nose pliers to turn back remaining petals, excluding ones with holes and that are overlapped in the center.
C. String the rivets from the back side of your flowers. Trim rivet leaving approximately 1/16 inch. Hammer rivet flat to secure.
{View our RIVET Step-by-Step Video for helpful tips}
D. Use round nose pliers to turn back the petals of six 6 petal cut-outs. Repeat steps A-D to create a mini flower cluster. Set remaining 2 flowers aside.
E. Apply Sunshine Yellow Acrylic paint dabbers to your flower clusters.
F. Use a 2 inch head pin to string your components in the following order; Lucite flower, 6 petal cut-out, 8 petal cut-out, standard washer. Bend the tail end of the head pin alongside the back of the flower and wrap it 2 times around one of the petals to secure. Repeat for all 3 flowers.
G. Use a 2.5 inch head pin to string your components in the following order; 4mm crystal, daisy washer, 6 petal cut-out. Bend the tail end of the head pin alongside the back of the flower and wrap it 2 times around one of the petals to secure. Repeat for all 3 flowers.
H. Carefully apply Glossy Accents on all painted petals to seal in the color & protect for long wear. Let dry for approximately 8 hours before handling.
Step 2: Create coiled bead links & flower connectors.
A: Cut eleven 2.5 inch sections of 20g bronze wire. Use round nose pliers to create a coiled loop on one end of wire. String bead and create a coiled loop to secure.
B. Cut two 8 inch sections of cable chain. Attach ends together using a 5.25mm jump ring. Set aside.
C. Using the 2 extra small flower cut-outs, string the following components using a 2.5 inch pearl head pin; 6mm crystal, fairy petal, 6 petal cut-out & standard washer. Bend the tail end of the head pin alongside the back of the flower and wrap it 2 times around one of the petals to secure. Repeat once, for a total of 2 flower connectors.
D Use chain nose pliers to completely turn back every other petal, creating a loop in order to connect with jump rings.
E. Position flower connector alongside large flower cluster. Completely turn back 2 petals of large flowers aligned with the connectors loops.
Step 3: Connect components.
A. Use 7.25mm jump rings to connect the following components together; flower clusters, creative toggle clasp and handmade flower connectors. Attach bead links and chain to the ends of flower connectors.
B: Use 5.25mm jump rings to connect the bead links and chain together.
Your necklace is complete, Enjoy!
