Vintaj x Lima Beads Collab Summer in the Sea - Trend Segment

The sea is calling. Drift along the rippling waves of jewelry trends with the Summer in the Sea Vintaj x Lima Beads Collab. Summer in the Sea flows the ocean-inspired trend along with layers, maximalism, large focals and pearls (surprise, surprise), which all found their way down the 2025 Spring/Summer runway. Each of these trends can enhance your design process through inspiring relevant design. Check out the live demo here.

This collection's pieces feature Freshwater Pearls, Artist Ceramic Beads, Pectin Scallop Shells and Banded Cinerea Shells from Lima Beads as well as plenty of charms, components, resin and, of course, 1-Step Antique from Vintaj! You can find links to the components if you scroll to the bottom!

These pearl and shell earrings highlight maximalism at its finest. Adding asymmetry, mixed metals and large components creates this feeling as they oppose simplicity. While different, a sense of balance is achieved through offsetting the width of the shell earring with extra length to the other. The use of similar design techniques and beads in both earrings integrates consistency within the design, so the earrings still feel like a pair. All of this allows these unique earrings to be more digestible to the average customer; don't be afraid to try your own version of asymmetrical earrings.

Create your own maximal-ized large focals by decorating white or pink pectin shells! Add charms, jump rings or even handmade faux stones using 1-Step Antique and resin! Even antique the shell with iridescents to produce a beautiful glow on your piece. These customized, one-of-a-kind pieces stand out against the typical seashell necklace while still following several trends currently relevant. Don't be afraid to add a little texture like leather and silk in your design!

Layering doesn't have to be complicated; even though maximalism is back, we can still utilize minimalist designs in our work! Adding a simple choker and long necklace can make a world of difference when it comes to styling. Consider adding layerable options when designing a maximalist piece. We can even create a second pair of earrings to layer for multi-pierced ears!

These statement earrings exude the more tribal aspect of ocean-inspired jewelry; they showcase mixed metals, maximalism and large focals! The Turquoise Fire Polished Beads and charms create movement, which is another layer to consider when you're designing. Sepia Brown, Pale Green and Bright Blue 1 Step Antique Glazes produce an even bolder look.

Accentuating ocean plant-life, this beautiful necklace pulls from the less obvious aquatic elements of the ocean. Continuing with our theme of trends, we find asymmetry, pearls, large focals and more. To create the effect on the pendant, layer Pale Green and Bright Blue antique glazes. Contemplate adding silk wrapped with chain and pearls to add more texture and interest to your designs.

Take note, the chain is attached to the silk with wire on both ends, and the pearls are simply strung on and separated with jump rings.

The Pegasus pendant is antiqued with abalone-inspired colors. Add a base layer of Inkwell Purple and top with Pale Green, Bright Blue, Bright Orange, Iridescent Aqua, and Iridescent Peach. The leaves have been antiqued with Sepia Brown, Pale Green and Bright Blue for a seaweed effect and curved with Cylinder pliers. Consider adding a bauble to the back of your bracelet to act as a counterweight and keep it from flipping like the Ceramic Bead shown below; it adds a fun design element to your piece.
